Αfter a difficult week. I decided to escape from the capital. Somewhere I read about the Epidaurus festival in the ancient theater of the Epidaurus. I found a ticket on the internet.

It will be the first time I watch ancient Greek tragedy and I am very excited.Τhere are too many camps in the area. We chose one where we will camp for the 2 days near the sea and next to the city of the Epidaurus.
Epidauros,
The city is known all over the world for its ancient theater which is considered to be the most perfect ancient Greek theatre with regard to acoustics and aesthetics. You can find a lot of information about the history of the city and the theater area Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus.
The Sunken City
In the shallow waters of ‘Kalymnios' beach, a small part of the ancient city has submerged. One could see the remnants in the waters either by boat or swimming. In some places the ancient breakwater is still preserved. It is worth diving at a depth of only two meters to marvel the well-preserved ruins. It is a fact that the sight will leave you filled with awe.
Polemarca Beach
Beautiful beach, but getting here is very difficult. You must drive down to the slope at least 15 minutes. Road is full of loose rocks and holes. At the end of the trail, there is an old Church hidden between oil trees. Beach is not often visited by tourists, so it is a big chance that you will be here totally alone. Make sure that you have special boots for swimming, because in the water is a lot of stones and urchins. Water is not very deep and view from the beach is truly amazing.
