Exploring Berlin

Μost travelers choose to visit Berlin , the Capital of Germany is the heart of Europe and full of history It’s maybe not the prettiest European city but if you’re interested in Nightlife or culture  you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for in Berlin .The locals are very hospitable and polite. There are many immigrants from all over Europe.they create a very warm atmosphere and from day to day you fall in love with this city.

We chose to visit the city in the autumn but the best time is the summer.Because many concerts and events take place in and around the city.Cycling will be more enjoyable in the big parks that the city offers from Brandenburg Tor to Zoologischer garten berlin .

We were lucky the weather was wonderful. From the very first moment we rented a bicycle to explorer the city and we bought the Berlin Welcome card which we have free access to public transport and discount a variety of museums and attractions (Berlin Welcome Card). Driving a bike is very safe. Most locals u…

Why Do People Travel?

Most people at some point in their life will have an urge to travel. This may be a two week holiday to somewhere warm to top up your suntan or this could be a life changing year, or longer, trip. Everyone has their own reasons that they decide to travel but most people are triggered by something. This is often a life-changing event or it could be a sudden change of feeling giving you the desire to fly the nest and set off on an adventure. After speaking to people I have met travelling, I have discovered, what I believe, are the main reasons why people travel.

Why do people travel?

1. To Visit Family

Some family members move to another country. It can be on the other side of the world or just in another country next to yours. No matter where they are you will want to visit them at some point or another. The great thing about family visits is not only that you get to catch up with loved ones but you also get to see how they live and get up close and personal with their new culture. These n…

Amphiareion of Oropos

Google Maps

The Amphiareion of Oropos , situated in the hills 6 km southeast of the fortified port of Oropos, was a sanctuary dedicated in the late 5th century BCE to the hero Amphiaraos, where pilgrims went to seek oracular responses and healing. It became particularly successful during the 4th century BCE, to judge from the intensive building at the site. The hero Amphiaraos was a descendant of the seer Melampos and initially refused to participate in the attack on Thebes (detailed in the Seven Against Thebes of Aeschylus) because he could foresee that it would be a disaster. In some versions of the myth, the earth opens and swallows the chariot of Amphiaraos, transforming him into a chthonic hero. Today the site is found east of the modern town Markopoulo Oropou in the Oropos municipality of Attica, Greece

The sanctuary is located 37.2 km NNE of Athens at a sacred spring; it contained a temple of Amphiaraos (with an acrolithic cult statue), as well as a theater, stoa, and associated s…

Ιt all started in the summer of 2012. I have heard about low-cost airlines that have just arrived in Greece. So we decided to make the first trip out of our country. For most of my friends and for me it would be the first time! In a few days we had decided the destination
In October we were flying to Budapest!

Budapest chewed us from the first moment.Everything looked so foreign to our eyes.Buildings, people, nature.Always when you do something for the first time you will remember it forever. So it was with our trip to Budapest so far to mention moments from that trip. After the trip to Budapešť everything had changed. As I had boarded the plane for the return journey and looked at the pictures from that moment i decided that every year I will try to save money to travel. I want to make new friends around the world  to get acquainted with new civilizations to learn from them and every time i will embark on the return to be full of picture…

Davelis Cave at Penteli

Is one of the three mountains in the Attica  with an elevation of 1,109m The mountain is covered in large part with forest (about 60 or 70%), and can be seen from southern Athens (Attica).Recently I read an article on a secret cavein the mountain with the name of the dam.

The cave did not initially have a passage to the outside of the mountain. The inside of the cave was discovered by the ancient Greeks when they painted the mountain to produce the Pentelic marble. In antiquity there was a sanctuary of Panos, while during Byzantine times it was a monastery retreat that had been installed almost all over Penteli, the so-called "Ammon", from where it was named. In the modern times, during the tradition, it is reported to have been the hiding place of the obstetrician Davele, from which the most famous name of the cave, although it never proved this.

I decided to go and discover this cave and get to know the nature of the mountain!
