Μost travelers choose to visit Berlin , the Capital of Germany is the heart of Europe and full of history It’s maybe not the prettiest European city but if you’re interested in Nightlife or culture you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for in Berlin .The locals are very hospitable and polite. There are many immigrants from all over Europe. they create a very warm atmosphere and from day to day you fall in love with this city.
We chose to visit the city in the autumn but the best time is the summer. Because many concerts and events take place in and around the city. Cycling will be more enjoyable in the big parks that the city offers from Brandenburg Tor to Zoologischer garten berlin .
We were lucky the weather was wonderful. From the very first moment we rented a bicycle to explorer the city and we bought the Berlin Welcome card which we have free access to public transport and discount a variety of museums and attractions (Berlin Welcome Card). Driving a bike is very safe. Most locals use a bicycle for their daily needs. there are almost everywhere bicycle paths in the city.

Places to Visit
Brandenburger Tor (Brandenburg Gate)
Ιs one of Germany’s most visited landmarks and an icon of the city of Berlin. During its more than 300-year history, it has played many different roles. It has been a symbol for peace, war, victory, terror and war all over (that time the cold one) and since 1989 it stands for the reunification of Germany. Here, Ronald Reagan said his famous words: “Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate. Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall”. Special Tip: Go there by night! There will be less people and the chance to get a pic in front of the illuminated Brandenburger Tor with no one else on it than you is huge.
Pergamon Museum
The Pergamon Museum is filled with classical sculpture, imposing
architecture, colorful tapestries and enough historical artifacts to
drive a thousand Indiana Jones films. Highlights include the famous
Ishtar Gate, a fragment from the Epic of Gilgamesh, and the Market Gate of Milete.
There are three major thematic sections at Berlin's world-famous Pergamon Museum - the Antiquity Collection, the Islamic Art Museum, and the Middle East Museum.
The works come from Ancient Greece, Rome, Babylon and the Middle East and show how advanced these ancient societies were. One highlight is the Ishtar Gate. This bright blue glazed-brick wall is decorated with gods of the city in the shape of dragons, lions and bulls.
A stone fragment of the Epic of Gilgamesh is a section of one of the oldest pieces of literature in the world - the tale of this hero echoes in the works of Homer and the Bible.
